Chinese New Year Feast - You have to be a Dragon

Last night my Best Half and I went to the annual Chinese New Year Feast at the Peking Duck Inn in the Fairfield Shopping Center. We attended this several years ago after we moved here, circa 2004. We had Dim Sum at the Jade Villa at Pembroke Sunday and something kicked off in my feeble brain to call the PDI and see what was up. As luck would have it we were able to secure the last four seats due to a last minute cancellation. The prix fixe dinner ($33.95) is held for two nights. Tuesday was booked so we grabbed last night.  Our new friends Jeff and Diana (who we sat next to) estimated that about 120 people attended event.

This is the Year of the Dragon and you have to be a Dragon to eat even a modest helping of each offering and everything was excellent.

Look at this menu.

I had discussed the Peking Duck Inn in an earlier posting and I am happy to report that it continues to live up to its excellent reputation.

Year of the Dragon

Yes, I realized it was the year of the dragon a couple weeks back when reading the Pilot. That's a pretty cool symbol to have for my expected newborn next month.
