Hampton police ID suspect in shooting on Kathann Drive

HAMPTON

Police are asking for the public’s help to find a man wanted in connection with a shooting that occurred Monday night.

Brad Parker, 24, of Newport News is wanted in connection with the shooting where a 26-year-old Poquoson man was shot in the 200 block of Kathann Drive and then drove to the Newport News police headquarters building. The victim had a single gunshot wound to his leg, a Hampton police news release said. He was taken by an ambulance to the hospital, treated and released.

Police said the victim was shot while he was getting into his vehicle. The victim and Parker know each other and had been in a previous altercation, the news release said.

Parker faces charges of maiming, use of a firearm, shooting into an occupied vehicle and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon.
