Hampton stays perfect in MEAC with NSU blowout

HAMPTON

Hampton rolled to a 92-43 victory Saturday night over Norfolk State, staying unbeaten in MEAC women's basketball.

The Pirates (14-3, 6-0) were paced by Choicetta McMillan and Nicole Hamilton, who scored 16 points each. Jericka Jenkins helped pick apart the Spartans with a career-high 17 assists. She scored 12 points.

Rae Corbo led the Spartans (8-10, 3-4) with 19 points. NSU hosts Morgan State at 4 p.m. this Saturday.

Sportsmanship

NSU players were clearly in over their heads. HU has a great team. But it seems to me that the HU coach showed extremely poor sportsmanship in running up the score, leaving in starters way past the time that the game's outcome was obvious.
