Norfolk seeks public's input on budget

NORFOLK

The city continues a series of "community conversations" on the upcoming budget tonight from 6 until 8 at Campostella Elementary School, 1106 Campostella Road.

Residents can ask questions and provide input to help shape the $1 billion budget, to be presented to the City Council in April.

The first community meeting was held last weekend.

Other meetings:

Thursday, Jan. 26, Mary D. Pretlow Anchor Branch Library, 111 W. Ocean View Ave.

Monday, Jan. 30, Lamberts Point Community Center, 1251 W. 42nd St.

Tuesday, Jan. 31, Police 3rd Patrol Division, 901 Asbury Ave.

I read the headline, and laughed so hard I almost

fell out of my chair.

This city/state couldn't care a less what the public things. They will do as they please, and as far as they are concerned YOU work for THEM.

They over spend on their hobby projects, they know the working class can't carry them any longer, yet they continue to push so hard that the average person is having to go without necessities so that the city/state doesn't suffer.

I'm sick of it, and I don't care if this group "needs" this or that group "needs" that. I am not giving one more dime for anything.

I am moving out of this area in a few months, but good luck to the rest of you.
