Pat Tillman’s football cleats for sale on ebay for $3.2 million
Posted to: NFL

A pair of cleats said to have been worn by former Arizona Cardinals defensive back Pat Tillman has gone up for sale on ebay. The asking price: $3.2 million.
Tillman, who quit his NFL career and became an Army Ranger, was killed in action in Afghanistan in 2004.
He wore the cleats during a Cardinals home game against the Baltimore Ravens on Dec. 17, 2000, according to the ebay listing. The Ravens won the game 13-7, but Tillman had an interception.
According to Fox sports, the shoes were bought by Jerry Martin, 51, at a charity auction in 2001. He said he had no qualms about selling them.
"Out of respect for the Tillman family, I didn't even put the shoes up for auction for years," Martin said. "But now I'm hoping that someone will enjoy these and cherish them as much as I do."
