Patriots receiver Wes Welker's biggest catch: getting engaged to a former Miss Hooters
Posted to: NFL Super Bowl

Professionally and personally, everything seems to be clicking for New England wide receiver Wes Welker.
He's going to play in the Super Bowl, and he's also going to marry girlfriend Anna Burns, Miss Hooters International 2005.
Professionally, the 30-year-old Welker had a career year for the Patriots, with 122 catches for 1,569 yards and nine touchdowns in the regular season.
Personally, he and Burns have been dating for more than two years, according to the Boston Herald. The newspaper said their first public appearance was during the Patriots' 2010 playoff loss to the Baltimore Ravens, when Welker was injured and couldn't play.
A healthier Welker helped the Patriots avenge that loss in this year's AFC championship game, with six catches for 53 yards, as New England won 23-20.
The Herald said the couple is pretty low-key (as much as a professional football player and professional model can be, we guess). They've been spotted at a Miss International Hooters pageant, as well as at the grocery store. He has made her breakfast in bed. And she made him flannel pajamas with cowboy boots on them for Christmas.
