Pedestrian killed by car ID'd as Hampton woman, 24

HAMPTON

Police have identified a woman who was struck by a car and killed on North King Street early Sunday morning.

At 4:41 a.m. Hampton police officers and the Hampton Fire and Rescue Division responded to an e911 call that a pedestrian had been struck by a vehicle on North King Street near the intersection of Bayberry Court, according to a news release.

Kameka Sharae Holliday, 24, was pronounced dead at the scene, according to police. She lived in the 200 block of Eaton St.

Police said Holliday was walking south on King Street when she fell into the road and was hit by a 2008 Chevy Cobalt that was headed north.
