Attention triskaidekaphobics.
Yeah, you with the "13" phobia.
Don't want to drive around with the cursed number on your license plate for a year? The Virginia Department of Motor Vehicles is encouraging you to renew your tag for two or three years to avoid sporting the dreaded "13" expiration decal for 2013. Multi-year renewals also save money, even more if done online.
You won't be alone, dodging the bedeviled 13. Some streets and addresses skip the number. Hotels sometimes go from floor 12 to floor 14.
Paraskevidekatriaphobics, just don't renew this Friday - which is Friday the 13th.

Relax ..Enjoy your coffee Friends
I could tell from the headline that this was going to be a light article. So I saved it till after the death of the little girl.
The comments are too heated, this is a light article and now I know there is a word for those afraid of '13' (Still can't spell it though).
So, relax, this article is a place to have some fun with each other, tell a story, laugh. Not slam DMV or people with fears.
I know there are some jokesters in HR - Make me laugh harder here :)
If this is your biggest worry in life, you need to
get a job.
Triskaidekaphobics = silly
Triskaidekaphobics = silly stupid people!
DMV is a mess....
They'll work with you if you don't want an unlucky 13 on your tags, but they won't do anything to keep felons, sex offenders, people with multiple DUI or traffic convictions from getting behind the wheel of a limousine. Keep that in mind the next time you want to hire a limousine for your child's school formal. Not all limousine companies are that shady, but quite a few are.
Great points! And just
Great points! And just another way to get more money out of you faster... wow, you save a whopping $2.00 to pay in advance or whatever it is... no thanks..just gives idiots more of a reason to try and steal my sticker in the first place.

dmv foolishness
It's hard for me to believe someone at the DMV actually took the time to even think of such a foolish thing as this. Then again, it is the DMV, I guess I am the foolish one for expecting anything less than silliness from them.
Can't avoid 13 completely
Yeah, but there will still be a 13 on the inspection stickers. It's even in red, too.
