TRAFFIC: Upcoming road and traffic conditions

Here’s a list of upcoming road and traffic conditions from the Virginia Department of Transportation:

CHESAPEAKE

-Drivers can expect potential delays on I-464 from mile marker 3.9 to mile marker 4 from 8 a.m. to noon until June 1 because of construction activities. The south exit ramp is closed.

-The Gilmerton Bridge will be closed to traffic overnight Sunday through Thursday, beginning at 8 p.m. and reopening at 5 a.m. Drivers should use the I-264 Downtown Tunnel.

NORFOLK

-Drivers can expect potential delays on I-264 from mile marker 8.6 to mile marker 8.8 from 5 a.m. until April 1 because of bridge work. The east right shoulder is closed.

NEWPORT NEWS

-Drivers can expect potential delays on US-17 at the James River Bridge (Route 17) because of a scheduled bridge opening at noon on Sunday
