RICHMOND

A Virginia lawmaker wants to study the possibility of selling marijuana through state-run liquor stores.

Democratic Del. David Englin of Alexandria has filed a joint resolution to look at the potential revenue impact for such a proposal.

Under the resolution, eight members of the General Assembly would study the feasibility and practicality of selling pot at the more than 330 ABC stores in Virginia. Findings would be due by the first day of the 2013 legislative session.

Englin also has filed a resolution asking the governor to petition the federal Drug Enforcement Agency to move marijuana from a Schedule I drug to Schedule II.

He cites states with medical marijuana laws and societal changes for the proposals.

The resolutions have been referred to the House Rules Committee.

LOL

Joint resolution :)

By the way, all in favor. Imagine how nice it would be to have Det Michael Phillips still working for the police force and coming home to his family every night instead of having his life wasted on a marijuana bust gone bad.

The Democratic Party of Today Has Unfortunately Become The

Party that is pro-Sex Offenders (anti-children), pro-illicit drugs (anti-family and anti-law abiding citizens), pro-law breaking illegal aliens (anti-legal immigration) who flaunt the violation and complete disregard of our laws.

all you gotta do now is

all you gotta do now is support your argument.

Just Read Todays Paper

(1) Democrat representative forwards bill for sell of pot at ABC stores; (2) Democrats oppose bill that strengthens laws against sex offenders;
(3) The well documented stance on the Dream Act.

But we failed to explain

But we failed to explain -why- (1), (2), or (3).
I could make the case that "George Bush eats babies, therefore he's anti children and anti-family." Is he really a baby eater? Well if he's ever had veal, lamb, or caviar, then yes he is and half of my claim is true. Does his food choices make him anti-family or anti-children? It might if he ate human babies, but because he doesn't, I attached false labels to negatively describe George Bush over a topic I should have known more about before making my ridiculous claim.

I'm on the right side of

I'm on the right side of this issue, but Democrats can't be labeled anti-children if they voted against the Sex Offender bill because it, "eliminates any judicial discretion when a defendant is convicted based solely on a child’s accusation," “It requires a life term regardless of the quality of proof,” and because it, "would make it harder for them(child offenders) to get into college or get a job even if they are not likely to ever commit another sex crime."
This bill does not protect the falsely accused.

ok lets gets this straight here...

so you are saying that, supporting a bill that allows citizens to use cannabis legally makes them...anti-law abiding??and supporting a bill that turns cannabis into a legitimate industry, just like alcohol, makes them...anti-family???thus conveying that people who choose to heavily or occasionally smoke cannabis, either don't want family or don't care about their own families?? wow...really? Oh,and what bill did, some, democrats oppose(obviously for unknown reasons that clearly aren't "pro-sex offender" stances)that would make you call the entire party out on being...anti-children...im now truely astounded that im even taking the time to respond to this ludacris statement.i wish i could finish but ive already filled up the space for this comment

I Am Applying Chris33 Logic

To the news posted in the paper. If you cannot get the sarcasm that it was intended as then it is very sad.

Lack of Employment

Another Democratic that finds time to find away to support his habit. People need jobs not drugs. What a role model this guy is and I can hardly wait for him to run for President. We can become a country of dead beat drug users. Heck he might even get the Nobel Peace Pipe Award.
