What type of raptor is this? Uploaded by: norfolknative January 13, 2012

In the late afternoon on Friday my wife and I spied this beautiful raptor swooping in on an unsuspecting mockingbird at the end of our driveway. He/she then flew across the street to enjoy dinner in a big magnolia tree. I took a few photos, but the light was fading. Can anyone identify our visitor? We were thinking peregrine, are we right?
