VIRGINIA BEACH

No new details were released Saturday in the investigation into the incident in which two bodies were found in a Kempsville home. Authorities were waiting on autopsy and investigation results, a police spokeswoman said. More information would likely be released Monday, she said.

After receiving a report of a possible shooting, police tried for hours to contact someone inside the home in the 700 block of Lord Nelson Drive on Friday. They deployed cameras and a robot and entered the house after 5 p.m., when they found the bodies.

During the incident, four schools in the area were placed on lockdown although students were dismissed on normal schedules.
