Chesapeake community center offers free health fair

The South Norfolk Community Center, 1217 Godwin Ave., will sponsor its second annual "Valentine's (Save Your Heart) Health Fair" from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday.
 
The free event is open to all ages. Tickets or registration are not required.
 
"We wanted to do something for Valentine's Day in a healthy way," said Toni McBeth with the South Norfolk center. "We wanted some kind of fitness aspect for the entire family."
 
The fair will feature 14 various health care/fitness agencies, groups and businesses including the Chesapeake Health Department, Chesapeake Parks and Recreation Department, the Chesapeake Regional Medical Center's Lifestyle Fitness Center and Regional Home Care Services, Massage Therapy and Foot Solutions.
 
Included will be yoga and Zumba demonstrations, health screenings, health and fitness speakers, nutrition samplings, body fat checks, informational booths and giveways. Participating vendors will offer door prizes every 30 minutes.
