CHESAPEAKE

A Chesapeake man was seriously hurt early this morning when his car overturned on Volvo Parkway, a police spokeswoman said.

Kasonn Swint, 24, was driving on Volvo Parkway near the intersection with Independence Parkway when his vehicle struck a curb, Officer Sarah E. Peedin said in a press release. Police think Swint overcorrected and hit a tree, causing his car to flip and come to rest on its roof, she said.

He was taken to Sentara Norfolk General Hospital with possibly life-threatening injuries. Speed and alcohol use are possible factors in the crash, police said, she said. No other information was available.
