ISLE OF WIGHT COUNTY
A portion of U.S. 460 is closed near the intersection of Bank and North Court Street because of a downed pole that was touching a wire.
A Dominion Virginia Power crew was called to the scene shortly before 6 p.m., according to a Virginia Department of Transportation spokeswoman. The pole turned out to be Verizon's and a crew was working to clear it from the scene.
By 7 p.m. all but the right, westbound lane of U.S. 460 were reopened.
