Authorities arrested a drug fugitive who had been on the run for about 18 months, according to a news release.
Johnathan Manwell Johnson was found and arrested at a home in the area of Ferrell Parkway and Pleasant Valley Road following a 30-minute standoff with U.S. marshals, the release said.
Johnson was wanted for 53 counts of drug distribution and one count of possession of a firearm in furtherance of a drug trafficking crime.
He was also wanted by New Jersey State Police on charges of weapons trafficking.
After his arrest, Johnson was transported by deputy U.S. marshals to the U.S. District Courthouse in Norfolk.
