Foreclosure prevention class Thursday in Va. Beach

VIRGINIA BEACH

The Virginia Beach Community Development Corp. will hold a free foreclosure prevention workshop Thursday at its offices in Virginia Beach.

The workshop will focus on teaching homeowners strategies for keeping their homes using federal programs and will give tips for working with banks for solutions. Other topics will cover how to avoid scams and explain the legal process of foreclosure.

The organization's offices are at 2400 Potters Road. The workshop will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Call 463-9516 to reserve a seat.

this sounds like one of those federal scam programs...

This could be an example of where funding is going for "foreclosure" programs that we all hear about ....but ends up in these "classes" that help very little {if at all) I would like to really know how much $$ this organization recieved to do this class...and why do a "public class" and not just have the few folks that need this call and make an appointment??
