We have two winners for our Girl Scout Cookie Recipe Contest!
Mary Joe "M.J." Wilfong of Norfolk won first place with her recipe for her, a flour-less chocolate torte. Of our 10 tasters her dessert came in first with six votes.
For her prize, MJ picked two tickets - courtesy the Girls Scouts Council of the Colonial Coast - to Friday's Somoa Soiree. This creative black-tie event will feature local chefs creating Girl Scout cookie desserts and appetizers at The Westin Virginia Beach Town Center.
Since we had cookies left to give, we decided to award second place to the next best dessert among our tasters - the Tagalong Cheesecake Cupcakes, a recipe from Lara Morris of Chesapeake. Lara will be taking home one box of each kind of Girl Scout Cookie.
