A man was found dead in a ditch Tuesday.
Chad Colson, 27, was found along Holiday Island Road shortly before noon, Perquimans County Sheriff Eric Tilley said. There were multiple lacerations on his upper torso. He was found with no wallet or cell phone. Police identified him through a tattoo on his leg.
Colson was arrested in early February for felony breaking and entering, Tilley said. He was last seen at about 7:30 p.m. Saturday.
Police are investigating the death as a homicide. Anyone with any knowledge should call the sherriff's office at 252-426-5615.
