ODU lacrosse standout nabs all-CAA honor

RICHMOND

Old Dominion senior midfielder Lisa Bernardini was named to the preseason All-CAA lacrosse team Wednesday.

The Monarchs have been picked to finish seventh in the league's preseason poll.

Bernardini, of Langhorne, Pa., ranked among the top five in the CAA in goals (34), assists (16) and points (50) last season. Those numbers earned her a first-team All-CAA selection.

She is in the top 10 at ODU in career points (141) and assists (51) and is eight goals short of the top 10 with 90.

ODU will return 10 of its 12 starters from a year ago.
