ODU wrestlers come back, beat Central Michigan

NORFOLK

Old Dominion’s wrestling team erased a 10-point deficit to defeat No. 22 Central Michigan 18-17 on Sunday at the Constant Center.

It was the No. 25 Monarchs’ third win over a ranked team this season. They improved to 12-8.

Central Michigan won the first three matches to take a 10-0 lead, but ODU won the next four. Senior Te Edwards, wrestling at 174 pounds, put ODU ahead when he pinned Central Michigan’s Ryan Quinn.

ODU’s final home dual of the season will be Thursday against N.C. State.
