Some N.C. ferries still delayed by wind, low water

Posted to: News Traffic - Transportation North Carolina

The Pamlico Sound and Currituck-Knotts Island ferries are not running this afternoon.

The Pamlico ferry is not running because of high winds, according to North Carolina Department of Transportation's Ferry Division Twitter feed. The Currituck-Knotts Island route has been temporarily suspended because of low water.

The Hatteras ferry is running its normal winter schedule following storm-related delays Sunday night and this morning. Also, the Bayville-Aurora route is back in operation following a shutdown to finish piling replacement.
