Tim McGraw - 'Emotional Traffic'
A Tim McGraw critique on “Emotional Traffic”: “My best album ever.”
Modesty aside, the CD, which concentrates on mid-tempo songs, is good. Period.
Two singles released with chart success are “Felt Good on My Lips” and “Better Than I Used to Be.”
Less commercial offerings – with shorter titles – are “Hey Now” and “The One.” One song that can be categorized as a modern country gospel offering, but probably won’t get much play on country or Christian radio, is “Touchdown Jesus.”
If you want to hear the songs on the album in person, you will have to travel north. McGraw is on tour with Kenny Chesney, but the closest the duo is coming to us is Washington, D.C.
Meanwhile, you can settle for “Emotional Traffic,” which, truth be told, does not have as much emotion as most of his previous releases.
