Virginia Tech football coach Frank Beamer will be the featured speaker at the 66th annual Portsmouth Sports Club Jamboree on Feb. 29 at the Renaissance Hotel.
The social begins at 6:30 p.m., followed by dinner at 7:15 and awards presentations at 8.
Award recipients include: Billy Kline, Churchland (High School Coach of the Year); Beth Anders, Old Dominion (College Coach of the Year); Mallory Schaffer, William and Mary (Female College Athlete of the Year); Danny Coale, Virginia Tech (Male College Athlete of the Year); Kaytlynn Heroux, Churchland (Female High School Athletic Award of Excellence); Garrett Brooks, Western Branch (Male High School Athletic Award of Excellence); Holt W. "Billy" Butt, III (Sports Person of the Year).
