Weather: Partly sunny with temps in the mid-40s

We'll have sunshine and cooler weather as high pressure builds and slips past the region today and tonight.

Highs will range from the mid-40s at the beaches and far north, to lower 50s inland and south. The next storm system will bring increasing clouds tomorrow, and the chances for scattered showers late Friday into early Saturday morning.

Highs Friday should reach the mid 50s in Norfolk.

Cooler air will return Saturday and Sunday. At least one of our models suggested a potential for some mixing on the Eastern Shore Saturday afternoon if we get a few lingering showers.

Most areas should be mostly to variably cloudy Saturday with highs in the mid to upper 40s. Winds will increase Saturday afternoon into Sunday. Look for mostly sunny skies Sunday with even cooler conditions as highs struggle into the lower to mid 40s.
