Weather: Scattered showers with highs in the 50s

Posted to: News Weather

By Craig Moeller

Areas of rain are likely this afternoon and this evening as a storm system pushes through the region.

Ahead of the system, southeast winds are blowing 5-15 mph. Later tonight, a wind shift to the north will occur. Skies will become partly to mostly sunny tomorrow. Highs are going to remain mild for the next few days.

Late Saturday, the next storm system will swing off the southeast U.S. coast. It will bring more rain to our area Saturday night and Sunday. Cooler air will sweep in behind it and highs are expected to be closer to 50 Sunday and in the upper 40s Monday.
