Weather: Warmer temperatures headed to area

It was a very cold and mostly clear start to the day. But highs will get back above normal, climbing into the mid to upper 50s.

Later this afternoon look for increasing clouds and possibly a few stray showers.

A significant warm-up is set for the rest of the week.

Highs Wednesday hit the lower 60s.

We should get into the lower 70s by Thursday. Late Friday another front will slide through.

We have a good shot at showers and cooler air will settle in for the weekend. Highs Saturday and Sunday get back to normal in the lower 50s.
