Who are the Hokies looking at from the Rivals 250?

I posted the players who have Virginia Tech offers from the Rivals 100 yesterday, not knowing that I had missed two on the list that some eagle-eyed readers pointed out.

Charlotte's Marquez North, a 6-foot-3, 205-pound receiver who is the No. 24 player on the list, received an offer from the Hokies late last month according to Rivals, although is profile page is not updated. Another player from Charlotte, linebacker Larenz Bryant, has an offer. He's No. 95 on the list. The previous post has been updated.

Rivals released its top 250 today, so I'll update which ones have offers from the Hokies, according to the site.

Keep in mind that this is casting a pretty wide net. Only a handful of these players will be serious Virginia Tech targets for 2013.

Look at last year. The Hokies got one top-100 recruit (Joel Caleb) and six total in the Rivals 250 (J.C. Coleman, Donaldven Manning, Deon Clarke, Ken Ekanem and Trey Edmunds). Still, this is a good indicator of who might still be in the running when recruits begin to narrow their lists.
