Andy Bitter is the Virginia Tech football beat writer for The Virginian-Pilot. Andy joined The Pilot in October 2011 after spending three years covering Auburn for the Columbus (Ga.) Ledger-Enquirer. His eventful time on the Auburn beat included a coaching change, a Heisman Trophy winner, the school’s first national championship in 53 years and the poisoning of the school’s iconic oak trees.

Who is Virginia Tech targeting on the Rivals 100 for 2013?

Rivals released its initial list of top 100 football prospects for 2013 today and there are plenty of Virginia Tech targets in the group.

You can read the full list here. Here's a look at some of the players the Hokies are pursuing who made the cut (these are prospects Rivals lists as having offers from Virginia Tech):

The skinny: The younger brother of Vincent Fuller, who went to Virginia Tech and is an NFL safety, and Kyle and Corey Fuller, who are both playing for the Hokies right now. Corey will be a senior wide receiver while Kyle will be a junior cornerback.
