Injury report for Howard

Norfolk State will be without a pair of key players for the second consecutive week against Howard.

Wide receiver Kelvin Lewis will miss his third week with a slow-to-heal thigh bruise. Head coach Pete Adrian said Lewis took a helmet to the thigh and the injury has been slow to heal. Lewis went to the doctor this week to try to determine why the injury has been progressing slowly.

Cornerback Dionte Sullivan will miss his second week with a strained groin. Adrian said he expects that Sullivan could play next week against Ohio, but he’s considering keeping him out until the next Saturday, when the Spartans play a crucial game against South Carolina State.
He said Norfolk State still has no word on the status of cornerback Natturner Harris, though the paperwork needed to document a family illness has reached the NCAA. He expects an announcement by next Saturday’s game with Ohio
Offensive lineman Theo Duncan returned to practice and will play. Duncan missed last week after suffering a case of dehydration during practice.
