Weather: Chilly temps, cloudy skies

High pressure to our north and a developing coastal low off the Carolinas will continue to give the area northeast winds, chilly temperatures and cloudy skies. Tides will also continue to run a little above normal through Tuesday.

Cloudy skies are expected today with a slight chance of a shower. Better chances of rain will exist along the North Carolina coast and the Albemarle Sound. High temperatures will be in the mid- to upper 50s. More of the same is expected Monday and Tuesday.

Clouds will begin to break Wednesday and winds should diminish a bit. High temperatures will be in the mid-50s. Mostly sunny skies are expected for Thanksgiving with highs in the lower 60s.
