Ellen offers to play matchmaker for Anne Hathaway
"Bride Wars" star Anne Hathaway was a guest on Ellen DeGeneres' show this morning where the two danced and chatted about life. Ellen of course couldn't avoid the topic of Anne's ex-boyfriend, Raffaello Follieri – who pleaded guilty in September to more than a dozen counts of money laundering and fraud. Shady character.
So when Ellen cornered Anne on the subject of Mr. Right, she offered to find Anne a new man. The TV host said she's really good at playing matchmaker.
Anne's response: "Did you see how nervous I just got?"
"You don't even have to date," advises DeGeneres, who herself is married, to Portia de Rossi. "You can straight to commitment."
Hathaway has since hinted (but revealed nothing more) recently that she already has a possible new love interest.
Gotta love Ellen though for trying.

Virginia Wesleyan grad makes new season of 'The Bachelor'
Virginia Beach must have some hot singles. Last season of "The Bachelorette" garnered a contestant from Virginia Beach, Chandler Fulton, who didn't even make it past the first cut. (Note: do not impress future dates with a duck call.)
But last night's premiere of "The Bachelor," featured a 25-year-old former Virginia Beach resident and Sewickley, PA native, Megan Parris. The 2006 Virginia Wesleyan grad is now a single mom and lacrosse coach, and was a solid scorer for the VWC lacrosse team.

Apparently, Megan took some time off of coaching and mommy-duty to be one of the 25 women vying for the new "Bachelor" Jason Mesnick, a single parent as well. And unlike, Chandler, Megan got a fair share of air time too - running her mouth to the other ladies about being a single mom, dropping cuss words and then, she was voted by the ladies as the girl they most wanted to get sent home first.
But there was a twist to the plot. As host Chris Harrison announced that the girl who received the most votes from the ladies wouldn't be going home, but would be staying with a rose! (Which didn't make the other contestants happy.)
The best part about watching last night's season premiere, aside from rooting for our hometown girl Megan, was the fact that my hubby practically fell off the coach when she stepped out of the limo to meet Jason. Not because she looked stunning in her long, strapless teal dress (which she did, especially for having a baby 14 months ago), but because he was friends with Megan back in high school and had no clue she made the show. But like most people our age, we keep up with ol' friends on Facebook and he knew that she had a gorgeous baby boy, Deacon, but he was pretty shocked to see his former classmate on a reality TV show.
I'm not surprised if you've never heard of Sewickley, PA. It's a small town in Western PA, think "Pleasantville." It's quaint, pretty and definitely has a small-town feel. Megan actually dated my husband's best friend in high school and part of college. So weird.
But, I've been to their hometown Sewickley and their high school Quaker Valley many times, and lemme tell ya, I'm proud of her for venturing out past Western PA! Most kids stick around town and never leave. (Or so it seems.) So we'll have to see how far Megan makes it. * SPOILER ALERT! I don't want to spoil this season, but according to forums on FansofRealityTV.com, Megan is not one of the final two contestants.
Stay tuned for more...this season already has twists and turns - and the teaser last night showed a preview of newly single DeAnna making a comeback. Dum, dum, dum....

Jason pulled Megan aside from some one-on-one time. He said he definitely felt a connection with Megan and would have given her a rose to stay, even though the other contestants tried to vote her off.

Tune in tonight, people....Jason is back!
Though he wasn't picked in the finale of "The Bachelorette," Jason Mesnick isn't just giving love another shot - he says he's found it.
ABC's newest "Bachelor," says he's engaged to one of the 25 women who compete for his affection on the 13th season of the reality series, which premieres tonight at 8 p.m. (7 p.m. central).
You can bet I'll be tuned in to this two-hour premiere!
The 32-year-old accountant has finished filming "The Bachelor," but can't reveal his leading lady until the finale, which will air this spring.
This season promises to be a good one and...this time around it's three company, as ABC is adding a kid to the mix. The sexy, Seattle bachelor is a single dad to his 3-year-old son, Ty.

'Hills' season finale was overly predictable
After downing tequila and margartias in Cabo, the The Hills’ most famous on-again, off-again couple, Heidi and Spencer aka "Speidi," decided to “just get married.” But when the couple returned from their elopement to angry family members, Spencer insisted to his future mom-in-law that they were going to the L.A. courts to make it legal. (He even said that she "better get used to the idea" that she was going to be his mom....ouch.)
So Spencer brought Heidi to a courthouse to make it official...and then abruptly changed his mind. Montag had already said "I do," but when it was Pratt's turn he hesitated. Soooo predictable. The two ended up leaving without making their “I do’s” official and plan to create the big wedding Heidi’s always hoped for. (Can we say.... the next season premiere of The Hills?….they need to save some drama for next season!)

I love TLC shows, but...
They are going to have to rename their show "17 Kids & Counting." Because momma Duggar just popped out number 18! Yup, Jim Bob and Michelle Duggar of Tontitown, Ark., had their 18th child Thursday – Jordyn-Grace Makiya.
Say what?...yes, folks she's a baby makin' machine. The other 17 children range between the ages of 20 years to 17 months, and she's had a baby every 18 months since she got married at 17 years old.
And if 18 kids and a family of 20 is hard to wrap your mind around - consider this: all of them have J names. Ugh...why do people do that to their kids?!
From oldest to youngest, you've got: Joshua (who married Anna Keller in September), twins John-David and Jana, Jill, Jessa, Jinger, Joseph, Josiah, Joy-Anna, twins Jeremiah and Jedidiah, Jason, James, Justin, Jackson, Johannah, Jennifer and now baby Jordyn-Grace.
Here's the Duggar clan before their latest arrival.

'Hills' star Lo surprised by Heidi's drunk nuptials
Lauren aka Lo Bosworth says she was surprised to learn that her Hills costars Heidi Montag and Spencer Pratt tied the knot while in Mexico away from family and friends — and after a night of tequila and champagne.
“I always thought they were going to get married,” Bosworth said on The Hills: Live After the Show on Monday. “I just didn’t know when. I thought she always wanted a big, beautiful event wedding in L.A. I was surprised it turned out the way it did actually.”
Lo said she learned of the nuptials on the internet “just like everybody else,” and was surprised by the alcohol-fueled chain of events.
Oh, but who wasn't surprised? Of course "Speidi" had an entourage of cameras follow them to Cabo to elope! It was planned...it had to be. It was the perfect moment to stir up more drama for the season finale, get hitched to land mag covers, and then maybe get their own reality TV show. I'm smelling a "Speidi" spin-off of "Newlyweds" (a la Jessica Simpson and Nick Lachey).
(Sigh) Heidi just needed to be drunk enough to agree to Spencer's lame career path. Watch a clip of the episode in which Heidi, in her punch-drunk love state, agrees to marry Spencer.

Amy Poehler bids SNL adieu - for real
Last weekend's SNL probably pulled a tear outta a few good men, as Amy Poehler said goodbye from the Weekend Update desk on her last (for real this time) episode of "Saturday Night Live." The send-off comes less than two months after giving birth to son Archie and several more months after signing a deal for a new "Office"-spinoff on NBC in which she'll star. (Can't wait for that!)
Initially, Amy said she wouldn't return at all following her maternity leave, but she returned to play Hillary Clinton once more and take her place at the Weekend Update desk. The lead SNL writer has been a cast member since 2001 and has served as a co-anchor on Weekend Update in the most recent seasons.
This Saturday she took the chance to say she was leaving, at least as a cast member. Being SNL, the goodbye was cut short with a little humor, in the form of Fred Armisen's David Patterson impression, who had just appeared in an earlier sketch.
Poehler's last words from the Update chair were, "I love you, and I will miss all of you so much."
Awww....we'll miss you too Amy!

B-day gift allegedly triggered murders of Jennifer Hudson's fam
Pic: Jennifer Hudson (center) with sister Julia Hudson and mom Darnell Donerson in 2006
People.com reports Jennifer Hudson's sister, Julia, celebrated turning 31 on Oct. 23 with cake and a small party at home.
The next morning, police say, Julia's estranged husband William Balfour – booted last February from the house on Chicago's South Side where they lived with Julia's mother and 7-year-old son – showed up and spotted a gift he believed came from another man.
That jealousy is the motive that led Balfour, 27, to return to the house after Julia had left for work and shoot her mother Darnell Donerson, 57, Jennifer's brother Jason, 29, then take Julia's son, 7-year-old Julian King, and later kill him as well, prosecutors allege.
Jennifer and other Hudson family members were "relieved and happy" after Balfour was charged Dec. 2 with three counts of first-degree murder and one count of home invasion, Chicago Police Deputy Superintendent Steve Patterson has said.
But the revelation that gunpowder residue turned up in Balfour's green Chrysler "is indicative that he fired a handgun," Cook County Assistant State's Attorney LuAnn Snow says. "So yes, indeed, there is physical evidence."
In detailing their case against Balfour, prosecutors described a growing tension between Balfour and Julia Hudson. Read the full story on People.com.

Next season of 'Bachelor' is a success
You'll be happy to hear that Jason Mesnick, the hottie single daddy from last season of "The Bachelorette" has found love and is engaged!
Though the new season of "The Bachelor" doesn’t begin airing until Jan. 5, he tells People magazine that he did find love on ABC’s reality dating series.
The 32-year-old Seattle single dad said, “I found exactly what I was hoping for, what I was looking for. I’m completely in love.”
(Take that DeAnna!)
Jason's marriage proposal to DeAnna Pappas was thwarted in July on the season finale of "The Bachelorette." Jason was in the final two, but Pappas chose professional snowboarder Jesse Csincsak. And...Jesse and DeAnna didn't last too long - they have already broken off their engagement.
“I really did fall in love with DeAnna,” Jason says, adding that when he heard she and Csincsak split in November, “I was shocked. I thought they were going to make it.”
Well - we'll be tuned into this season to find out who Jason's lucky lady is.

'Lost' actor to take on new role
"Lost" hottie Josh Holloway, aka Sawyer, is taking a new role - as a daddy. The scruffy actor and his wife, Yessica, are expecting their first baby. Awww.
The baby is due next year, the 39-year-old actor tells TV Guide. The couple has been married since 2004, when they eloped to Kauai.
Holloway is currently in Hawaii filming Season 5 of ABC's hit show, which returns on Jan. 21.
Can't wait for January! Too many good shows return..."Lost," "24" - need I say more?
