One thing that Target has mastered over the years other than to offer a convenient one-stop & shop store is introduce collaborated products with some of the best designers around. Most notably, fashion houses like Missoni (Summer 2011) and recently, Versace. Target deserves a major 'kudos' for fusing luxury with affordability.
This past Sunday, Target launched the intimate and sleepwear collection designed by Josie Natori online. What a way to bring in the New Year I say :-) Natori introduces to the Target consumer intimates made from 'feel good' fabrics and eye-catching prints that define femininity and embrace Japanese art.
Some of my faves are below-Happy Shopping!

Josie Natori for Target® Womens Fluid Knit Snake Print Legging - Black/White

What do I recommend? Take that fave summer dress and pair it with a long cardigan, cinch your waist with a thin leather belt and if you love leggings/stockings as much as I, then throw on a pair of those as well. Don't have a cardigan? A light weight jacket will do the trick as well.
Below is a photo of “s3r3nity” from www.chictopia.com. I think that she did a marvelous job taking that “I love this dress for the Summer” and making it an acceptable Fall piece.
What is your thoughts on Summer to Fall clothing transition? Is there a date that we should follow or a comfort level? Speak out and be heard!

Here is an additional look from www.shopbop.com lookbook! I love how the skirt is pair with the long sleeve sweater and lace up boot. Perfect for this in between season time!

It's that time of year again! The Bra-ha-ha Award Show, Auction & Gala is tonight at the Chesapeake Convention Center near Greenbrier Mall. This annual event benefits breast-cancer research and prevention. Each year this event continues to grow; with more and more participants entering custom designed bras which tell their story and support a beautiful wonderful cause.

In the year past, I had the pleasure of submitting a feature designer bra, meet Guido owner of Costabella and enjoy a night of fun festivities at MacArthur Center in Norfolk Virginia. In honor of breast cancer awareness, this October Costabella will donate 10% of it's sales from shop.cosabella.com "Prettie in Pink" collection to the Bra-ha-ha organization.
The cause alone brings out the best in everyone, as high numbers in attendance will attest. The event will be held tonight from 7 PM to 10 PM and tickets are still available for purchase just visit their website. During the event tonight you can anticipate heavy hors d'oeuvres, drinks, live music and a silent, electronic auction and let's not forget the amazing goodie bags which will include a coupon to my online boutique!
As a result of this organization and its mission being so dear to me, I have submitted another bra but in collaboration with Poshe Boutique in MacArthur Mall. The bra is titled "Nestled in the Hope" and is dedicated to my Aunt Eloise who put up a strong fight against breast cancer but could not fight any longer on 8/25/11.
Below are two phots of a hand-crafted ML necklace that I donated to the Bra-ha-ha silent auction for this evening. This bib necklace is made from genuine leather in dark brown over vintage gold cording with moderately sized closure hook and removable brooches for optimal versatility. (retail value $165).

This is an amazing event so put on your cocktail attire and come on out to support! Don't know what to wear for such an occassion? I will be sharing pictures tomorrow of what is best to wear for such a social, evening occassion.

Also, this event is organized by the Marketing Dept of the Chesapeake Regional Medical Center.

While entering my local JCPenny's today at Lynnhaven Mall in Virginia Beach, VA to pick up some OPI at their salon, my eyes were instantly drawn to the medium weight, crochet lace trim poncho by junior brand Decree.

This poncho would look great paired with a nice pair of fitted denim jeans, white cami, and netrual lace up boot. Quick, easy and stylish! Perfect for the comfortable, yet stylish day. Three-fourth sleeve, button collar, cotton/poly blend and easy to wash. This poncho is perfect for every chica's closet- fashionista or not!
Only $26.99 in stores and online.

Earlier this Spring and during the Summer, fashionistas alike opted not to bare their legs but capitalize on the exposure of skin with revealing the midriff. Personally, I think that this is a fun trend because you don't neccessarily have to be a size 2 to join in on the fun! A size 10 can wear an adorable cropped top with a full skirt and engage in the style and be FABULOUS!
Now that it's Fall, don't put away that top too quickly! This look, midriff baring all, will look amazing paired with a high-waisted skirt, jean or legging, pump (with platform) and jacket that screams structured and unique.

In fact, I have designed some luxe, high-waisted leggings that pair well with the trend. Indulge in a pair or these hand-crafted luxuries at the ML Online Boutique!
Limited quantities available in certain styles! Get a pair while they are still here.

Honestly, I don't think there is anything that I love more than a pair of awesome combat boots. I have super adored this style since I was a kid...yes! a kid!!! I remember when I was in the 5th grade or maybe the 4th, my mom purchased me a pair of black patent leather mid-calf combat boots with a black gum sole. When I put them on, I laced them all the way up but my fashionable mother said 'wait, you can't wear those boots like that!" Shocked and confused I looked at her thinking to myself, 'well how else should I wear them?' She knelled down and then loosen the laces and pulled forward the tongue of the boots...the boots now appeared as though I had not even laced them at all...and I actually liked the look. Of course my 11 yr old friends didn't understand the glamour but I didn't expect them to! Guess I had a little grudge in me after all.
Even to this day I wear my combats slightly un-laced or un-zipped. As for me a good looking leather boot indicates footwear ALL YEAR ROUND! And considering the fact that I am a platform pump chica, I look forward to wearing my combat boots for shoe relief and comfort...all while maintaining my style! These boots can be worn with jeans, shorts dresses and whatever else that fashionista mind of yours can think of (below pic is courtesy of www.whowhatwear.com)

Let me be your personal shopper...here are some combat boots available in your reach and totally affordable!
