    At Ivor, Virginia on Friday, November 13, 2009 at 6:08 AM currently the temperature is 50.1 degrees with light rain, the humidity is 92%, the barometer is 29.69 and rising winds are now out of the NorthWest and the 12 hour rain accumulation since last night at 6:08 PM is .42 inches with a storm total accumulation so far in 72 hour of 6.58 inches.

    A mess in Hampton

    Grandview Island in Hampton is water-locked, no way in, no way out. Just watched my neighbor's fence float down the street toward the beach.

    I have been without computer access for a couple of days.

    At 6:08 AM on November 11, 2009 it was raining and the 24 hour rain accumulation report, .34 Inches in the past 24 hours, total accumulation .34 inches

    At 6:08 PM on November 11, 2009 it was raining and the 36 hour rain accumulation report, 1.63 inches in the past 12 hours, total accumulation 1.97 inches

    At 6:08 AM on November 12, 2009 it was heavy rain and the 48 hour rain accumulation report, 1.36 inches in the past 12 hours, total accumulation 3.33 inches

    At 6:08 PM on November 12, 2009 it was heavy rain and the 60 hour rain accumulation report, 2.83 inches in the past 12 hours, total accumulation so far 6.16 inches.

    Conditions on Brewers Creek in Carrollton

    At 5:30 pm, it is windy and rainy. (Duh!) Temp is 54 F, as it has been all day. Rain today is 3.7", added to 3 " yesterday for a total of 6.7". Local high tide is due in about 45 minutes, as of now the level is about 17" below what was seen in Isabel.

    At 6:30 am, Thurs 10/12/09, it is 53 F, with gusts to 30 mph out of the ENE. We have had cumulative rain of 4.33", 1.33" since midnight.

    The tide is very high, but about 2.3 feet below the level brought by Isabel.

    At 11:20 pm. my weather station has recorded 2.9" of rain today. Never very heavy, highest rate today was 0.5"/hr at 9 am.

    The highest wind gust here is 34 mph just before 11 pm.

    The tide, near low tide now, is about 4- 3/4 feet below the levels seen in Isabel. But I expect tomorrow morning's high water to be up considerably from Wednesday afternoon's high. After all, hte wind has been blowing the water down the bay, and into the bay, for another 12 hours now.

    At 4:15 pm, current temp is 54.5 F, after a midnight high of 60.2. I'm somewhat protected, especially to the east by trees, so my high gust for the day is 26 mph. Rain today is 1.75", currently @ 0.25"/hr, highest rate today was 0.5"/hr about 9 am As far as tides, it is up, high tide is due here at about 5:15pm. Current level is about 4.5 feet below what we saw in Isabel.
