Young dancers, want to be on a TV show?

Open auditions will be held this weekend for dancers interested in appearing in an upcoming series to be aired on WTKR-TV, Channel 3. The program, "Karma Butler's American Dance Legend," is a competitive dance workshop taped for television that will feature performers of all types from ages 14 to 26. Butler, who has performed nationally and lives in Norfolk, is the show's creator.

Va. Beach's Jewish Mother cooking up move

VIRGINIA BEACH Two Oceanfront landmarks - The Jewish Mother and The Heritage store - must relocate by October for redevelopment at Laskin Road and Pacific Avenue. The Jewish Mother, which has served sandwiches and other casual fare there for 35 years, might move to Hilltop, the owner said Tuesday.
