Virginia Aquarium welcomes rare pair of crocodiles

VIRGINIA BEACH The Virginia Aquarium & Marine Science Center welcomed two Tomistoma crocodiles over the weekend, according to a news release. The rare reptiles - named Ralf and Sommer - arrived Saturday from Malaysia.

VIRGINIA BEACH Gloria, the Virginia Aquarium & Marine Science Center's Tomistoma crocodile is moving to Florida. Her last day on exhibit is Sunday. The 30-year-old is still within the viable breeding age. She's being moved to the St. Augustine Alligator Farm in an attempt to mate.

Virginia Aquarium's new seal named Rudder

VIRGINIA BEACH The young harbor seal now calling the Virginia Aquarium & Marine Science Center home will be called Rudder. Pickles, Pepper and Bruce - in honor of New Jersey-born Bruce Springsteen - were also suggested.

Busch Gardens to hold auditions for Howl-O-Scream's "Scare Squad" members

WILLIAMSBURG Busch Gardens is looking for people to fill roles as ghouls, zombies and other creepy creatures for its annual Howl-O-Scream event. Howl-O-Scream opens Sept. 25 and runs starting at 6 p.m. every Friday, Saturday and Sunday through Nov. 1. Park officials said they are looking for people to be a part of their "Scare Squad."
