1st Friday Poetry Salon
7:30-9 p.m., Meets the First of each month, at The Muse Writers Center (816-A Orapax St., Ghent, Norfolk, (Directions and maps).

Please join us for our monthly Muse Poetry Salons—held at 7:30 p.m. on the first Friday of each month. Share poems—your favorites or your own—with the literary community. Listeners are welcome, too. Bring your friends, bring your family, and bring anyone you think would enjoy a diverse reading of poetry that may, at times, include mature content. Feel free to bring snacks or drinks to share. Hosted by Deb Markham and Grace Tazewell. Suggested donation: $2 (goes to our scholarship funds; donation not required to attend). Open to all.

Writers Coffee Break

Join us every Friday from 10:30 a.m.-Noon at Elliot's Fairgrounds Coffee Shop (806 Baldwin Ave. #2 (at Colley), Ghent, Norfolk) for an informal get-together where area writers and Muse teachers, students, and friends enjoy conversation and camaraderie over a (perhaps much needed) coffee break. Hosted by Jennifer James. Come and join us!

Writers Happy Hour

FROM THE PROMOTER

Join us every Wednesday from 5:30-7:30 p.m. at the Boot (123 W. 21st St., Ghent, Norfolk) for an informal get-together where area writers and Muse teachers, students, and friends enjoy conversation and drinks. It's also the Boot's Virginia Beer night, featuring more than 30 Virginia bottled and draft beers for only $3 each. Come and join us!
