CINCINNATI  A man who authorities say sometimes refereed fights involving former NFL star Michael Vick's dogfighting operation has been sentenced to 13½ years in prison.

Authorities say Terry Kendrick bred fighting dogs in the basement of his Cincinnati home, and had connections to dogfighting from New York to Florida to Texas.

RICHMOND The state trials of Michael Vick and three co-defendants on dogfighting charges will be postponed until the men are freed from federal prison, the Surry County prosecutor said.

SURRY COUNTY A year after he first stepped into Michael Vick’s dogfighting compound, the local investigator who helped convict the NFL star spoke Monday about the friction he said he felt with the local prosecutor during the case .

Michael Vick’s state trial on dogfighting charges was rescheduled today for June 27.
