VIRGINIA BEACH Luckiest. Guy. Ever. It's not an official title, but it will do for Ralph Stephens. The Virginia Beach man recently won the Virginia Lottery's Cash 5 drawing for the third time. Each time he matched all five numbers and walked away with the $100,000 top prize.

Williamsburg man wins motorcycle from Virginia Lottery

A Williamsburg man will receive a Harley-Davidson motorcycle from the Virginia Lottery today.

The man was the winner of the lottery’s Harley-Davidson Scratcher game and has won a 105th Anniversary Fat Boy Motorcycle, according to a news release.

Paula Otto becomes new head of Virginia Lottery

RICHMOND Gov. Timothy M. Kaine has appointed Paula Otto as executive director of the Virginia Lottery. Otto replaces Sheila Hill-Christian, who stepped down in October. Otto, 46, was part of the team that launched the lottery and served as public affairs director from 1988 to 1997. She then taught at Virginia Commonwealth University. She is a former reporter for WTVR in Richmond.  

Norfolk custodian claims $1,000-a-week lottery prize

NORFOLK A Postal Service custodian has really cleaned up. Thanks to the Virginia Lottery, he'll be sweeping up a $1,000 check every week for the rest of his life. In 10 years, that will be more than $500,000 before taxes.

Winning $1,000-a-week lottery ticket is sold in Norfolk

NORFOLK Someone around town may be acting a bit richer today than they were yesterday. Virginia Lottery officials announced Sunday that a single winning ticket, sold for Saturday night's multistate Win for Life lottery game, was purchased in Norfolk. Lottery officials did not say where or when the ticket was sold. And there's no word on who has it.

'Millionaire' lottery tickets sold in Hampton, Newport News

RICHMOND Lottery officials on Monday announced the winning numbers for Virginia's Millionaire Raffle game.

Tickets with the numbers 27780, 45301, 328099 and 341209 are worth $1 million each. They were sold in Sterling, Hampton, Stephens City and Newport News.

Those bearing the numbers 102868, 152264, 169966 and 174841 are worth $50,000 each.

There are also 400 $500 winning tickets.
