At 1:35 p.m., the Virginia Department of Transportation was reporting the following traffic issues: Hampton Roads Bridge-Tunnel A six-vehicle crash on the westbound side of the tunnel had traffic backed up to the HOV entrance.
SUFFOLK A man was cut free from a car after he crashed into a tree this morning on U.S. 58 near the weigh station. The crash happened about 7:15 in the eastbound lanes after the man left the road and slammed into the tree, a city news release says.
CHESAPEAKE The High-Rise Bridge on Interstate 64 will be closed for three hours Sunday morning for scheduled maintenance. The closure is scheduled to begin at 7 a.m., according to the Virginia Department of Transportation. Drivers can use the Downtown Tunnel as an alternate route.
RICHMOND In more fallout from the uproar in Hampton Roads over the imminent re-tolling of the Midtown and Downtown tunnels, Gov. Bob McDonnell's administration has pledged to establish a more open, inclusive process for future transportation projects the state undertakes with private-sector partners.

VIRGINIA BEACH Beginning Monday, a temporary traffic light will direct drivers at the intersection of Laskin Road and Arctic Avenue. Two-way stop signs were installed at the crossing in May, when the signal was removed as part of the Laskin-Gateway project.
VIRGINIA BEACH A closure scheduled for Lord Dunmore Drive this weekend has been canceled. Additional work must be done before a water line can be installed, a city news release says. The closure, at Princess Anne Road, was expected to begin on Saturday and end on Monday.
JAMESTOWN The Jamestown-Scotland Ferry is back to full capacity. The Pocahontas was taken out of service earlier this morning because of mechanical problems, according to the Virginia Department of Transportation.
RICHMOND Gov. Bob McDonnell's aides have dangled millions in toll-reducing road funds in front of a local Democrat in hopes of avoiding a Senate stalemate over his proposed two-year state budget.
U.S. 158 in Currituck County - the main thoroughfare to the Outer Banks - will get a new $13.3 million coat of asphalt, a project that will cause lane closures during the busy summer months.
