The Virginia Department of Transportation will shut down eastbound traffic on Interstate 64 early Sunday as a test of its ability to manage an evacuation of Hampton Roads. The test, scheduled for 5 to 7 a.m., will involve closing eastbound traffic along I-64 from the I-295 interchange near Richmond to just east of the Hampton Roads Bridge-Tunnel.
NORFOLK Four people were injured in a crash Saturday afternoon in West Ocean View, Norfolk police said.
A car collided with a bus at 2:05 p.m., Sgt. Jim Robertson said. The injuries were not life-threatening, he said.
HAMPTON
A three-vehicle crash on eastbound Interstate 64 in Hampton has been cleared, but is causing added delays on the interstate.
The crash happened at 4:22 p.m. at the Hampton Roads Bridge-Tunnel.
By 5 p.m., traffic was moving in both directions but delays were heavier than normal, said Luefras Robinson, a spokeswoman for the Virginia Department of Transportation.
The Virginia Department of Transportation reported a backup of almost 7 miles on Interstate 64 west at the Hampton Roads Bridge-Tunnel just before 3 p.m. At 6 p.m. the backup was about 6 miles. Heavy traffic was reported at the Midtown Tunnel westbound and at the Downtown Tunnel.
HAMPTON A crash has closed two lanes of I-64 west and has traffic backed up for miles at the Hampton Roads Bridge Tunnel, according to the Virginia Department of Transportation.

NORFOLK The Midtown Tunnel reopened at 3:30 p.m. after being closed since just after 2 p.m. due to an accident with injuries. Traffic was rerouted through the Downtown Tunnel, causing large backups. No details about the incident were immediately available.
