NORFOLK
Norfolk State University researchers will be among the partners in a five-year, $18.2 million research project led by Purdue University.
The research involves computer simulations in nanotechnology, which is the process of building new materials and machines starting at the molecular level.
The grant comes from the National Science Foundation. Mikhail Noginov, a physics professor, will head Norfolk State's contribution to the research.
Other institutions participating, University of California at Berkeley, University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, University of Texas at El Paso and Northwestern University.
