Beach judge sentences woman to probation for prescription fraud

A former health care contractor employee, who admitted to using the names of city and school division employees to fill fraudulent prescriptions, received probation on Wednesday.

Judge Frederick Lowe suspended the five-year prison sentence he imposed against Melissa Lea McDevitt, 34, of the 3000 block of Glastonbury Drive.

In November, McDevitt pleaded guilty to one count of prescription fraud, a felony.
