Pool tournament to raise money for family of Beach officer

VIRGINIA BEACH

A local business will host a benefit for the family of Virginia Beach police officer Randy Vaiden on Saturday, April 19.

Vaiden was killed in a traffic crash in October 2007.

The benefit will take place at Q-Master Billiards from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. at 5612 Princess Anne Road, and will include a pool tournament, a professional pool demonstration, raffles and food.

Money raised will go to the Randy Vaiden Memorial Fund to benefit the officer's family,  including his wife and two sons.

A Charity Poker tournament will be taking place to raise money for the Officer Down Fund to raise money for Det. Shivers family.

This will take place at Baker Street Restuarant in Virginia Beach located at the intersection of Kempsville Road and Centerville Turnpike. It starts at 1pm, entry is free, there will be several prizes including a trip to Atlantic City! A portion of the proceeds and any donations will be contributed to the Office Down Fund.
