Hampton woman arrested on charges of killing man

HAMPTON

Hampton police on Sunday arrested a woman in connection with the shooting death of a man in early May.

Elaine Clarke, 38, of Hampton was charged with one count of murder and one count of use of a firearm during the commission of a felony, police said.

Tyrone Adkinson, 36, of Hampton was shot in the head on Dogwood Street on May 1. Paramedics found him on the porch of a house. He died at a hospital the next day.

Clarke was being held in the Hampton jail.
