Police ID victims of double shooting in Newport News

Police have identified the victims of a double shooting last night.

The shooting happened at Adams Drive and Antrim Drive at 7:25 p.m. Wednesday, according to police. The victims were identified as Quinton Hunter, 27, and James Ballard, 29, both of Newport News.

Hunter was shot in the back, police said, and Ballard was shot in the abdomen. Both were treated at a local hospital. Their conditions are not known.
