Father and daughter displaced after Hampton home burns

Posted to: Hampton News

A father and daughter were burned out of their home in the 1500 block of Garrow Circle in Hampton late last night.

Firefighters were called to the home shortly after 11 p.m., said Fire Marshal Anne-Marie Loughran. When firefighters arrived at the home, they found fire and smoke going through a window of a back bedroom.

No serious injuries were reported, but the daughter, 30, suffered a minor cut, Loughran said. The American Red Cross was contacted to help the man and his daughter.

No damage estimate was available. Investigators were working to find the cause of the blaze.
