Suffolk police are asking for information about a man they say approached a home in the Cedar Crest Subdivision off Crittenden Road on July 2 and said he was there to pick up a child for summer school.

Police say the resident told the man that the child was not attending summer school and then began to ask questions. He couldn’t answer and left in a light blue, older model pickup, according to a Suffolk news release.

The man, described as white and between the ages of 55 and 65, was wearing a tan polo shirt, dirty blue jeans and a Bass Pro Shops ball cap, police said.

Police also asked that anyone who has experienced a similar situation call the Suffolk Police Department at 923-2350 or Crime Line at 1-888-Lock-U-Up.
