Virginia's CSIs – crash scene investigators – try to determine how an accident occurred by using evidence and the laws of physics. The State Police Fatal Crash Reconstruction Team typically investigates crashes that result in fatalities. Its mission is to answer questions beyond the basic police incident report: the how and why.
