Facing two jury trials for burglary and robbery next week, Tremaine Hamlin entered a plea agreement Friday.

Hamlin was charged with breaking into the home of an acquaintance in May 2007 and with robbing a stranger on the street in August 2007.

On Friday, he entered a plea agreement in Circuit Court, pleading guilty to burglary, attempted robbery, possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, use of a firearm in commission of a felony and discharging a firearm in public.

Hamlin will be facing at least five years in prison for the firearms charges alone, prosecutor Kerry Roberts said, in addition to time for the other charges.
