Sub North Carolina gets new commanding officer

NORFOLK

The attack submarine North Carolina will have a new commanding officer today.

Cmdr. Wes Schlauder will relieve Capt. Mark Davis during a ceremony today at 10 a.m. at Pier 3 at Norfolk Naval Station, according to a Navy news release.

The submarine was commissioned in May in Wilmington and is homeported in Groton, Conn., the release says.
